I thought I knew of one but it turns out it's set in Alaska. The author herself is Canadian, though. Kate Bridges. I think a couple of hers are set in Canada, or partly there. But I don't know which ones. There's also Kathryn Fox. I have not read any of hers myself, but there are some reviews at AAR (http://www.likesbooks.com).

Heaven In His Arms by Lisa Ann Verge.  Historical though.  But good.

*ETA:  Nevermind, you did say historical:P  This one should be perfect.

Janette Oke did a Canadian West series (christian romance) and Kate Bridges is the one I was trying to think of..she has some set there. some of Lynsay Sands' argeneau vampire series takes place in lower Canada/upper US..think the vamp in Single White Vampire was living in Canada. hmm wonder if there are any contemporaries that actually talk about Canada?

I was just going to mention Heaven in His Arms.  Its out of print though so it's probably WL. I got mine from Amazon and it wasn't expensive.  So not so hard to find that used copies are outrageously priced. That's the only Canadian one I know of though.

AAR has a listing for Cananda, I was going to copy and paste the list but it has Mexico and the US combined.

I think Jo Beverly's The Rogue's Return is partially set in Canada.

Well, you mentioned the only ones I know of-Kate Bridges for sure.  Harlequin Historicals.  Love, love Harper's Bride by Alexis Harrington and yes, Rogue's Return by JB has the beginning set in Canada.

Oh I forgot about Rogue's Return.  That's one of the first romances I ever read-only started reading romances about 3 yrs ago.  But only the beginning is in Canada.

OK..I've got a couple.  Mrs. Mike by Benedict and Nancy Freedman.  I have not read this one yet but it looks interesting.

Also, if you are into vampires in Canada (but not so much Historical) look into the Tanya Huff Blood series, or you might be able to find them under the Vickie Nelson Detective Agency Books.  The Lifetime channel had a series called Blood Ties based on her books, way before True Blood ever became popular.  It is about an ex-policewoman who solves supernatural crimes with a 500 year old vampire, who incidentaly is Henry Fitzroy, the illigitimate son of Henry the 8th.  It is set in Toronto, which is where I was born and raised, and I love reading about familiar places.  The TV show was cool, but it was cancelled after 2 seasons.

Well that may not have been much help, EH?.  I will keep my eye out for historical Canadian romances.

Josie

I have been swapping a series of Canadian  Historicals about the beginnings of the Mounties.  One is called The First Time:  The Mounties and The Third Daughter by Kathryn Fox, another is Klondike Doctor by Kate Bridges.       The Midwife's Secret by Kate Bridges is in Banaff Canada.  It was interesting since I have a sister-in-law who grew up there.
