I always recommend C. J. Box and Craig Johnson. Michael McGarrity and Steve Hamilton are good too. Oh, and Elizabeth George. Happy reading!

I would recommend Kathy Reichs (Tempy Brennan -- the same character from Bones - the TV series was derived from Reichs' books but they aren't similar at all), Lee Child (character is Jack Reacher)  and Michael Connelly (who created my beloved Harry Bosch! lol).  Those are three of my favorites.

I just started the Catherine Coulter FBI series. I am enjoying the first book the Cove. also I just finished a book called the Mosaic Crimes by Giulio Leoni. It was really good.  It is the first english translation of the authors books, from what I understand.

Try the Jane Rizzoli series by Tess Gerritsen. one of my all time favorites.

-The Surgeon (bk 1)

-The Apprentice (Bk 2)

- The Sinner (Bk 3)

-Vanished (Bk 4-my husband LOVED this one)

-The Mephisto Club (Bk 5-we both hated this one but necessary for the next)

-The Keepsake (Bk 6)

Shai, I just finished False Accusations by Alan Jacobson (see my shelf).  It was great.  Also, take a look at Stephen J. Cannell's Shane Scully series.
