My son is currently reading the "Guardians of Ga'Hoole" series.  He has also read the "Halo" series.    I would really appreciate any suggestions of another series or even just a REALLY good book for him.  Thanks.

Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins is awesome and so is the Maze Runner series by James Dashner.

Animal series like the Guardians of Ga'Hoole are the Warrior (cat) books by Erin Hunter or the classic Redwall series by Brian Jacques.

Other young adult books are obviously Harry Potter, then there's Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan, Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer, Alex Stormrider series by Anthony Horowitz or Maximum Ride by James Patterson.

The Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage might be worth a shot. I'm loving this series!

Having just finished Mockingjay, I second the suggestion of the Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins.   Awesome.

I'm guessing he likes fantasy so I would recommend Eragon by Christopher Paolini, The Hunger Games by  Suzanne Collins , and The Lord of the Ring series by J.R.R.  Tolkien.

I'll second the Warrior Cats series and the Percy Jackson series.  I'd also add the Ranger's Apprentice serier by John Flanagan.  My son has loved all of these.
