for men. Our house was a mission project by our church the past few weeks. We rec'd a new furnace, a new roof over two rooms that were added to the original house, and the ceilings in those two rooms got sheet rocked. Marcus then got them painted.

While I know a return more than "thank you" is never expected for this type of thing, but I would like to gift each of the men that worked on the house a devotional or meditation book. So, if you have something (more than those little verse type things, I mean a real book) that is in really nice shape (I'm not looking for like brand new, but you know what I mean) could you please let me know? It would be even greater if you had a couple and I could get a deal, but it isn't important, I've got enough credits to cover them if I need to  :)

Thanks!

I don't know if this is the type of thing you are looking for, but I have a couple of Richard Calson's "Don't Sweat" books on my bookshelf.

Don't Worry, Make Money: Spiritual and Practical Ways to Create Abundance and More Fun in Your Life

Book Description:

In Don't Sweat the Small Stuff, Richard Carlson revealed new ways to calm down and enjoy more peace in our lives. Now, in Don't Worry, Make Money, Richard Carlson provides more new strategies for living more fully and worrying less as a means of attracting more wealth and abundance in our lives.

Full of interesting and unique ideas for the overworked businessperson, Don't Worry, Make Money tells listeners how to live a life that's more wealthy, productive, and carefree by refusing to let worry get you down.

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff and it's all Small Stuff

Book Description:

"Let go of the idea that gentle, relaxed people can't be super-achievers," advises Dr. Richard Carlson in his widely popular self-help book, DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF. In 100 chapters--each only a few pages long--Dr. Carlson shares his ideas for living a calmer, richer life.

Thanks, Tarri, but I'm really looking more for the devotional or meditation type books either learning more about the Bible or one's realationship with The Father. I appreciate you thinking of me tho. And I do have several books that are on your shelf, so you've got good taste :)   I've several of J. A. Jance, Grisham, all but the last of the Gear's People books, & Anita Shreve is good too.

I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, but my husband just joined and on his shelf he has a copy of The Life You've Always Wanted by John Ortberg. Our Bible study group used it as a discussion medium, but our copy is in very good giftable condition.

If that's a book you'd be interested in, here's a link to his shelf! Thanks for looking.

Thanks, Jennifer, I did order it from your husband.

Yes, Ellen, I think anything by Spurgeon would be good, I just need to find one in giftable condition now ;)
