Hello. I read a book from the library back in 1990. I want to get that book again and read it. It was a great book IMO since it was very similar to the Phantom of the Opera.

I remember it had the cover of a woman looking out a window in the moonlight. It has a man who is the phantom who is disfigured and lives underground(?) and has his faithful servant do all his shopping and daytime stuff. He never left his home that I can remember. I do believe that the girl is involved b/c she is a violin player and good at it? Or is going to take lessons from him? But they fall in love and I'd like to re-read this book.

Anyone remember such a book? Help?

Yeah it was a pretty good book. I just always wish I could remember the name of it. With all the books out there, it's going to be hard to find it. Plus I don't know how to even go hunt for it.

You might be interested in another book based on the PHANTOM OF THE OPERA which I enjoyed a few years ago. It was called PHANTOM by Susan Kay.

PHANTOM by Susan Kay

Agreed, bookaholic, that is an amazing book!  I've lent out the book to a few fans of the original book and Broadway musical, and they also agreed that it's well-written and very heart-wrenching.  It's a pity she didn't write much (anything?) afterwards.

I think I tried to find the Susan book and couldn't find it on here. I'll keep an eye out for it. It MIGHT be in my TBR list. :)

I can NOT wait for my phantom book to get here. It will be nice to re-visit these pages.
