Hi! I'm still a little new to the PBS but last week our family lost a great man to God. My father-in-law My daughter, who will be 12 this month, was very close to him...she is having a hard time with the loss. Kind of closing it out and not dealing with it. I know everyone is different and deals with situations like this differently but I'm very concerned. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a book I could read to her.... Thanks for your input!!! |

Hey Susan, I don't really have a recommendation for you other than a couple I found at the bottom, but I just wanted to let you know I will be praying for you and your daughter. I lost a dear friend about 5 years ago who was almost like a father. And one of the things that helped was just having someone to talk to. This person wasn't a family member but just a friend who stepped up and basically said they were there when I wanted to talk or even to cry with. It really helped when he was there for me. Praying for you as you work through this that the Lord will give comfort, wisdom and peace. As far as books, I don't know how mature your daughter is, if she prefers younger or older books, but the ones I found below might be a help.
