I have sort of hit rock bottom on finding new manga or anime series that I can really get into. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for me.

I really love the following series:

Nabari No Ou

Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler)

Togainu no chi

One Hundred & One Nights

Let Dai

Totally Captivated

& series like that. I am mainly looking for series who have mainly guy main characters & don't have too many ditzy girls. Though, any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

The Cain Saga I believe is by the same author as Godchild and has the same kind of feel to it.

If you havent already, give Death Note a try.  I think you'd enjoy it.

Maybe also try Black Cat or X/1999 as well.

Second like...all of those by sanachan5!

Anything by CLAMP is so breathtaking, especially their Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles series that crosses over with xxxHolic.  FullMetal Alchemist is also great (both in manga and anime). Vampire Knight also has a great anime and manga (unfortunately haven't read too much of it since Shojo Beat the anthology got cancelled :( )

I'd go on and on but I think I can safely say those are my three favorite non-shojo manga (Tsubasa being my favorite overall if I had to pick one hahaha)

My current obsession right now is School Rumble (the anime).  It's light and funny, especially if you're really into the whole otaku culture.  Gotta admit one of the main character is kind of a ditz, but I find it really cute XD. I'm also watching it dubbed on Hulu right now, and I know that's not for everyone (really surprised I'm enjoying it as much as I am too), but the characters, their dynamics, the relationships, and the way each episode is structured (almost a series of connected vignettes) just blows me away.

(And if you could see my wallpaper, chances are it's Harima Kenji's beautiful face :D)

Try Zodiac P. I. (4 books in the series), and Time Stranger Kyoko (3 in the series).

I second the Death Note recommendation, if you haven't already read it.  I loved the manga much more than the anime or movies...

Friend recommendations: Full Metal Alchemist (manga is different from the original anime, which I really enjoyed except for the ending, am looking forward to reading the manga, hoping for a much different ending) and Trigun anime.  Although that may be a bit too silly at times for you, judging by your past readings...

I'm currently re-watching Blood+ series with a friend, I liked that the ending wrapped things up and didn't really leave you hanging with a lot of unanswered questions.  Main character is a bit of a wimpy girl at first, but she improves.

Other friend recommendation: She had a blast watching Saiyuki.  Midori Days is a cute, light anime.  School Rumble is more light-hearted fun.

For yaoi, have you seen or read Ai No Kusabi yet?

If you like the Tsubasa recommendation, I recommend Fushigi Yugi or Basara.  (I prefered Basara, to me Fushigi Yugi main character was a bit too ditzy.)

Does anyone have a source to read/view Black Butler online?  I'm curious to find out more about this one...
