I am tutoring a 5-year old on letter sounds/phonics and wanted to get some interesting kindergarten-level books to read with him.  Does anyone have any good recommendations?

I used this book when My child was 4 and a half and it WORKS!  6 years later it is still on my keeper shelf and my Child is an avid willing reader who has great comprehension and Loves books as much as I do.

I have lots of children's books on my shelf and will be glad to send 3/2 credits or 5/3 credits. Here are a few suggestions: How do airplanes fly? The Huffin Puff Express, If I could drive a tow truck I'm a Caterpillar Little Toot My Kindergarten Counting Book I really have a lot - take a look at my shelf and let me know if you can use some!

The 100 easy lessons book! EXCELLENT suggestion! Also the A Beka Kindergarten readers are great! If you get on the A Beka website and search for kindergarten, they have about 20 thin books that are early readers!
