Historical romance I read a couple of years ago...from what i remember heroine was a poor relation on her way to be governess or a companion to better off relatives...she had basically a night of pasion at a local inn where she throws caution to the wind before she goes to her new home where she will be ignored I think her wagon/train might have broken down...that might be the reason she was at the inn. i dont remember if she was a bit of a plain jane or pretty and might have disguised herself to appear plain or to go unrecognized..he might not have seen her full face but remembers the wonderful night they had. heroine is shocked when hero shows up at the home might have been to propose or court one of the daughters... any thoughts? |

It sounds like Mary Balogh -- Snow Angel or Simply Unforgettable. |

ok I'm thinking he might have been intoxicated and came into her room by mistake so his memory might have a little fuzzy.. |
