I love a "little romance" in my suspense and thriller novels.  I enjoyed Nora Robert's DIVINE EVIL, ---a tale of passion, murder and scandal.  A fiend suggested THROUGH VIOLET EYES, by Stephen Woodworth.  Which romantic suspense-thriller did you love?  What would you recommend?

Wishing you all the best, and happy reading!

Catherine Coulters FBI thrillers always have a romance going in them, those are pretty good.

Kay Hooper's newer books are comparable to Catherine Coulter's.  I've also recently read "Exit Strategy" by Kelley Armstrong, and really liked it.

Nora Roberts writes as J.D Robb. Her "In Death" series is awesome!

I love Linda Howard.  She always writes very dark, brooding alpha male hero's.

Julie Garwoods contemporary romantic suspense books 'the buchanan' series is very good.

If you like military  romance/suspense/action.....I HIGHLY recommend Suzanne Brockmanns 'troubleshooter' series, and

Marliss Melton's Navy SEALS series.  They are excellent.

A fiend suggested THROUGH VIOLET EYES, by Stephen Woodworth.

Just as an FYI - you may want to avoid Through Violet Eyes, as it's not a typical romantic suspense.  In fact, it you're looking at the softer end of the genre, then the person who suggested it is in fact a "fiend." LOL

I loved Erin Hart's two novels, Haunted Ground & Lake of Sorrows.   They would fall in to your category of romance & thrillers.  I am anxiously awaiting her third installment to this series.

A correction to Mary L's list - it's Gennita Low and not Ginneda Low. :)  And I too recommend her!

Shannon McKenna's books are very good. She has a series of 4 starting with Behind Colsed Doors. Her stories are a bit hot, be prepared.

I read almostly exclusively romantic suspense. In my opinion, no one can compare to Mary Stewart, the dame of romantic suspense and I still read her books yearly.  Susannah Kearsley is the closest I've found to Stewart's style of writing. Of the others listed in this thread, Kay Hopper is probably my favorite!

I second the In Death series and the Suzanne Brockmann Troubleshooters series.  I also really enjoyed Brenda Novak's Stillwater Trilogy....it includes Dead Silence, Dead Giveaway, and Dead Right.

I have Nora Roberts Red Lily on my bookshelf.  And I am running a 2/1 special.  Don't know if I have much else that would appeal to Romance Suspense category though :)  I'm just getting started.

I should have added the link to my 2/1 offer at the Book Bazaar for your convenience - http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/topic.php?t=104207
