I love, love LOVE J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Anybody have a suggestion for similar reads?

A lot people seem to really like Christine feehan Carpathian books, early ones are the best in my opinion.

Also Joey hill has several different vampire books, although they can have bdsm and erotica.

I need to try lara Adrian again, everyone seems to think she's awesome but me =(

Not just you, Evelyn, I didn't like Adrian. And you're right about Feehan, the early ones are better. I stopped reading her books.

me too veronica, I gave up after continuously reading the same phrase/description in every book, sometimes more than once. although I do have 4 on my keeper shelf.Megan, are you looking for only vampire books and if so do you want them to have a continuous story line like brotherhood?

Part of this is that the Black Dagger cross genres from UF to hot and steamy.  Most books do not straddle the line as much.  We have piles to recommend on either side of this line, but few series that sit between.

Do you want more romance and heat?  Or more focused on following one character?

I had to search for blood to find these...just couldn't remember the name. These are similar and very good:

I have always liked Immortals After Dark by Kresley Cole.  Enjoy!
