For some reason this one's been on my mind lately, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

The plot:  The young guy in the office/lab, who is a pest & a geek, accidentally sends the heroine back in time to the Middle Ages.  She's settling in and learning to make her way, when she hears someone singing a modern song - an Elvis song I think.  It turns out to be the same guy - now 10 years older - who sent her back in time, and has worked and searched for her ever since.

Any ideas?  I've looked and looked but can't find this.

This one isn't exactly the plot you remember but it's at least similar:

If I'm remembering it correctly, the heroine hears someone singing a Beatles song and that person'd already traveled back in time but was happy where he was.  He helped the hero & heroine get back to present day.  However, the hero ends up landing 10 years before present day and had to wait that out without the heroine because he was afraid if he didn't, he'd change things and never get to be with her.  He'd watched her from afar for those 10 years and waited.

Thanks Sarah.  It's not the one I'm looking for, but sounds interesting - I ordered it.

Sharon, doesn't ring any bells for me and I couldn't find it in the searches I did.  At least not anything that fit.  Here are a couple links to lists of time travel romance books.  Maybe you can go through and see if any ring the bell for you.  Sounds kind of like a Vicky Lewis Thompson type theme but here books aren't as early as you've said here.

Thanks Rhonda.  Unfortunately I didn't find anything that looked right.

Sharon, you have any more details?  Names of characters, middle ages where?  England, Scotland?  Is this a smaller book, like a Harlequin or a larger book?  Any idea of the author's name?  Where they co-workers?  Where did they work?  Was the love story between them or did the heroine fall in love with a historical character?  All ways to narrow the search.

If you like this plotline, btw, it also features in Connie Willis' Blackout and All Clear. Science fiction with a little bit of romance.
