Hello all.
I'm looking to see if anyone knows of any vampire novels where the entire town or more have been turned...a la Stephen King's "Salem's Lot"? I would prefer horror but it's not a big deal. If anyone has seen the b-movie "Dark Town" that would be exactly what I'm looking for. (Great underrated vampire flick, btw) I don't know why I enjoy the subject matter but I'm craving more. Heh. I love when people get turned in the novels. I'm currently reading "Vamped" right now (very good so far)....it takes place in a world where everone has been vamped. Not horror but I love the concept. Also if people have any suggestions in general for some good vampire books I'd love to hear them.
thanks

The Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine is a good series - Glass House is the 1st book. Chicagoland Vampires by Chloe Neill the 1st book in that series is Some Girls Bite.

I highly recommend an old 80s pb called Night Thirst by Patrick Whalen. It's a sequel but can be read alone. I never realized it was a sequel until I read it, loved it and searched for other books by Whalen. It's one of my favs and on my keeper shelf. In Night Thirst, the vampires nest in the old underground city of Seattle, and come out at night to make more vampires. If you check out the reviews on Amazon, most are 5* ratings. Don't let the hokey cover fool you. It's a very good book. Later edited to add: If interested, there are presently 4 copies available on PBS.
