I know the Lora Leigh Breed books are heavily WL here.  I have them all but don't want to give them up at this point.  Would anyone be interested in doing a small  book ring?  I've never done one and don't really know how to go about organizing it other than to post one in the games. I'm curious if this would be something of interest to my fellow romance/paranormal/erotica lovers.

I love that idea, and wonder sometimes if that might be about the only way I'll get to read most of Lora Leigh's books.  However, I'm also so hideously slow at getting to books I know I have to read before a certain deadline, I'm almost certain I'd end up passing books on without reading them, or be repeatedly asking to be skipped over when it's my turn, just because dammit, I'm not ready for that one yet:P  Yes, it's me.  I'm a horrid, procrastinating, lazy slug, and I hate doing things because I have to.  It's also my monstrous TBR pile though.  I think I randomly skip throught it and pull things out with no rhyme or reason, just to show it that I control it and it doesn't control me:P  As if...

oh wow.  both yes, and no.  i'd love to get a chance to read them all, but i'm not sure i'd want to read a whole bunch of them back to back.  i'd worry about the stories sliding together in my head.

I have done a "read and return" bit with some other members here, which has worked out well.  I've gotten to read a lot of books that were on my WL that I'd otherwise likely have to buy or just wait and hope for.  We've just done this on our own, so it's not been an official book ring.

OK my life and Kim's are so similar that we must be related in some weird way. I am a sparadic speed reader. Some times I gobble up books left and right and other times it takes me a month to get through one. I might spy a book in Mt. Toobie that peaks my interest I will drop what I am reading to read it. With that said I too would love to read her books and I actually have several but they aren't the first few in the series so I am hesitant to read them out of order. Ok I actually really dislike reading series stuff out of order but will bend on that with romance books occasionally.

So to tell the truth I am torn between wanting to participate and wanting to say no. I think maybe I would like to read the first one and see if I would be interested in continuing with the series. I might just hate it and would rather know sooner rather then later.

IMO they are not books that should be read back to back.  To me Lora Leigh is one of those authors who has one or two themes so her storylines follow a very similar pattern.  It can get annoying and repetitious when reading these books one right after the other.  I do recommend reading them in chronological order so maybe one book every few months.

I kinda thought that was the case, but you have to put everything on WL right away - no matter how committed you are to reading ALL of them - because the WLs are so long, and the lists don't seem to move all that quickly either.  They aren't really my usual thing anyway - y'all know I'm a big historicals gal:P - but a friend recommended them, and told me just enough about a couple to get me curious, so I had to WL practically EVERYTHING, just so I'd have a chance at getting my hands on a few.  Watch them be the bad ones...:P

that'd be perfect for me.  i've already read a few of them out of order, and a couple of the stories in anthologies, but i'd love to read the series from the beginning nicely spaced.

I think 2-3 at at time would save on postage.I've sent out a few books to people before to pass around...only one passed around a few times the other just came back but I didn't really 'advertise' it. I have a lot of books I've read and some in mt tbr that I dont' mind sending around if others want to read and pass them on then return them after a while..just don't really know how to organize it! I tned to be a keeper so I have quite a bit LOL! not all are wishlisted though but I know there are several here who hardly ever want to keep a book anyways or just want to read and know whether or not it's something they want to keep on the wishlist or go ahead and purchase elsewehere..

I thought about doing this too. It seems that we could have a site just for Erotica books! Sure wish there was a place to get them discounted more! I've often wondered... why isn't there a topic for Erotica under the Love & Romance section here?

Kathleen - there have been erotic threads in the past - even a Guess the Book thread for racier stuff.  But I think most just discuss those books in the normal what are you reading threads.  But feel free to start one if you'd like.
