Okay - so I just finished HEAT SEEKER and I want someone to tell me who Jules is. Right at the climax of the totally lame plot - some person (m? F? who knows)  named Jules is in danger and I'm supposed to care?

Do the publishers just figure us readers are so stupid we will buy anything with LL's name on it and they don't have to even proofread, let alone edit her books anymore?

I was so disgusted at the low quality, when they got the name/alias of the hero mixed up on page 15 I should have just put it down.

Ok, Ok - I'm reading for the smut, but don't insult me just because I'm a book slut. And how many fierce sex scenes can there be in one book that are "simply never like before"?

I've heard this before and I keep putting the book aside.  I wonder if one character was originally named Jules and she changed it and then missed some.  I think that nowadays they hit the spell check and that's that. Well spell check doesn't necessarily pick up gramatical errors, name miss spellings, wrong name etc..,

I just don't get LL.  I don't read her stuff at all.  Mostly because the three I read I found to be totally forgettable and 'I don't care' kept going thru my mind.  She does write good smut.  someone else should write the stories for her.

I tried to read Heat Seeker once.  Didn't get that far into it.  LL is hit and miss for me.

Linda, have you made it over to the DOS Chatroom thread in the Games forum?  We're all book sluts there.

Oh I like Lora Leigh, and have read and own all of her special Ops books and the Nauti series. I just read with my rose colored glasses on, with my eyes squinted and just kinda gloss over everything. Because if I look to hard, then my eyes start rolling and pretty soon I have a headache. So if you are a closet wanna be editor, hers and Sarah McCarty's books are a great place to start.

I don't claim to be a wanna be editor - I used to be one for dull legal books.

I am just going to be thankful that all of my LL books come from the thrift store or from my friends here at PBS.

It's at least good to know that I am not crazy all by myself.
