Lord of Ice was OK. I really enjoyed the first 3/4 of the book. I felt sorry for Damien having to deal with his PTSD and I admired how Miranda did her best to try to help him overcome his demons. However, once they uttered the "love" word, the romance become sappy and the rest of the story so predictable that I just didn't care how it was going to end.

Great book. A hero tempted by the one woman he is forbidden to love. His ward.

Found this novel in a thrift store for 50 cents. Don't plan on posting it but I just had to say: any novel that can keep me up until 1 a.m., hanging unto every word and refusing to go to sleep until that book is finished can only be described as AMAZING. AMAZING!

I love this author! This is not one of my favorites, but it is still better than many of the historical romance books out there.

I did enjoy this one - again it struck a good balance between romance, adventure and mystery (although the latter two were more emphasized). However, this was not as good as her other works. The last two chapters did not seem to belong - it was almost as if they were tacked on as an afterthought. The epilogue was amusing, but again, it would have been better coming right after the big fight scene that serves as the climax. I would recommend it if you just cannot find anything else to read, but not highly.
