I rarely write a veview but this was just too good to pass. The dialog between the heroine and the hero was so delightful I found myself guffawing - alone, by myself, which is kinda creepy. However, if you enjoy a good chuckle, this might satisfy. As a result, I've added several more of Loretta Chase books to my Wish List.

This is a very good romance, with a heroine who is quite beguiling. The plot is amusing and the banter between Bathsheba and the hero is sweet and funny. Very good read.

The third book in the series, after Miss Wonderful and Mr. Impossible. This book starts out wonderfully, and has well-developed characters and scenes, just like the previous two, but then something goes wrong. In trying to come to an acceptable resolution for Benedict and Bathsheba, Chase drags things on instead of wrapping them up. Too many characters get involved and too many predictable turns take place. Chase's previous books were much tighter and held your interest better. That said, the best part about this book is the two youngsters who stir the action (Olivia and Peregrine). After finishing Lord Perfect, I spent more time wondering about them and their future stories than I did Benedict and Bathsheba. I hope that Chase write their stories soon.

All her life Bathsheba Wingate has had people look at her askance because of her scandalous family. Currently a young widow with a young daugher to provide for, the last thing Bathsheba expected was to find herself deeply and hopelessly attracted to Benedict Carsington, Viscount Rathbourne, otherwise known as Lord Perfect. So that when an unexpected turn of events forces both Rathbourne and herself into a road trip together, Bathsheba knows better than to expect a happily ever-after ending -- even if the attractive and completely taking Viscount Rathbourne sees things otherwise...

Of course this builds on the Carsington family traits that we've seen in the first two novels. I was kind of surprised that it focused on the oldest brother Benedict but I don't know why. Each brother has to have a unique setting and challenge. I can honestly say tho' that so far this is my favorite of the 3 I've read so far in the series. I'm looking forward to the rest. I loved the chase and the whole idea of one's nephew and one's daughter on the loose. It was light, it was funny. There's at least 10 scenes I hope to draw from in the future. I even marked the pages which I usually don't do.
