This is more of a series of mini-biographies of the author's road to conversion. It has zero practical advice, aside from the great suggestion that one should find prayer and spirituality in the everyday rather than feeling like one has to carve out silent time. It is also filled with the viewpoint of a women who used to be a liberal radical feminist and is now a conservative Christian and her veiwpoint comes off a little heavy handed (and I agree with her on most points!). She says she doesn't want to seem self-satisfied and preachy, but I'm afraid she does.
Seeking God in the journey of motherhood is what Barbara Curtis is all about. You will be challenged and inspired by her story of redemption that carried her from her abandonment as a child to radical feminism to her current life as the Christian mother of 12. -- Barbara Rainey
