After 41 days I received two books which had been lost in the mail. So I went to the transaction archive and marked them received, thereby having two credits deducted from my account. I also pmed the person who had sent them to let her know that they had finally arrived. We've been in contact throughout and she has been absolutely lovely. Anyway she told me that she had not lost any credits because she had used dc and the credits were not deducted from her account. She also said that the credits that were deducted from my account had not been added on to hers. So where did they go?

They go to reimburse PBS for the credits they gave her when she marked the books mailed.  They gave her the credits for using the DC and then they gave you back your credits when the books went lost. So they were out 2 credits until you marked the books received.

PBS gave you your credits back when the went lost and she got to keep hers. You just repaid them.

Okay, just want to make sure they didn't go to lala land somewhere. This is the first time this has happened to me and I wanted to make sure everything was okay.

Nice when lost sheep come home on their own, isn't it?  I have a soft spot for lost books.

I'm hoping that my lost order comes in to the requestor.  It was five books and I can only tell that I got one credit (using DC).  So I'm making sure that I have enough credits to have in case things go wrong.
