Gary is a loner who has been contacted by his sisters for a "reunion". They were all adopted out at a very young age and his adopted father beat him and his adopted mother ran off. He is scarred emotionally and doesn't want to get involved yet something draws him to them. He meets Rebecca, a social worker who has the job of interviewing potential adoptive parents. Gary's oldest sister wants to adopt. Gary also rides a Harley and owns a thriving chain of gourmet coffee shops. This is a very good story about what causes people to do things they do.
