SEVEN MONTHS late.  It was postmarked with metered postage, on the date the sender had marked it mailed.  It was only going about 600 miles (not cross-country), and normally books taking that trip have taken about 4 days.

Just wanted to post a happy story about a "lost" book turning up, safe and sound!

I had one like that.  It arrived 6 months late.  The packaging was a little scuffed up, but the book was in good condition.  Weird, isn't it?

Wow!  So there's still hope for a lost book of mine from August!

I had the exact same thing happen...7 months late, metered postage that said it was mailed the day the sender marked it mailed, the wrapper was perfect...I guess the book just decided to take a vacation before settling down on my shelf! LOL

So yes...there is always hope. :)

I haven't been so lucky with my lost books, but in July I got a Christmas card that my SIL mailed in Dec. from Florida to me in Georgia.  It had been to Manila, Philippines.  Sigh.  The Post Office works in mysterious ways...

Well, then maybe there is hope for a book I mailed to Vermont back in March! It was a WL book too.  Funny, but any books I send to New England from NC seem to take forever to get t here!

I had a book take well over a month to travel all of 30 miles. ;) Both the sender and myself agreed that if we ever trade again, we will just hand-deliver!!
