I got a lot of WL books this week!  I had to go buy more credits!  I got 2 more books that I had to ask for credits returned.  UGH!  Am I cursed?  One book came with water damage across the whole pages of 59 through 99.  No damage to the wrapper.  It's a HC so no damage to the cover.  It's one of the books that has really nice paper - so the water damage is noticeable big time!  I did the obligatory thank you, with description of damage and citation and posting of where they could find the rules.  Asked for credit to be returned.  It's a new member and I feel badly about it.  i hope I was tactful with her.

The other book was a complete surprise!  It was not the book I ordered.  It was a similar kind of book.  It's a book in great condition and the sender wrapped it perfectly.  I'm content to keep it without return of my credit if itwasn't meant for someone else.  The ISBN isn't the same one I ordered.  We'll see what happens with this one.  What a day!  I really feel sometimes that I'm a magnet for these books.  I don't want to be a bad guy!

maybe the 2nd sender mixed up the book with another order.  it happens!  hopefully she'll figure out what she did.

Also possible that on the second book the ISBN was entered incorrectly.  That happens sometimes, and since certain publishers stick to one kind of genre, an number that's transposed could end up getting you a similar book to what you wanted from the same publisher.

I've gotten the wrong book a couple of times before.  This time the ISBN of the book sent doesn't even register as a book posted or not posted.  It's not the same ISBN I ordered.

In my early years here  at PBS, I was sending out three books. I mixed up the envelopes by mistake and all three got the wrong books. Luckily, these pbsers were very nice and  agreed to send the right book to the right person. I now write the name of the book on the back flap of the envelope and make sure that the right book goes in before I seal it.

Well, I just heard back from the member who sent me the wrong book.  She asked me which book I ordered and its ISBN.  I complied and she said she had it sitting right there and would mail it  out.  I don't know what happened.  She said to keep the wrong book I got.   When I get the book I ordered I will send her a credit.
