Has anyone read anything by these authors?  I have found a couple of their books and they sound interesting but would like to know if they would be worth my time.  I was looking at The Deceiver and Nemesis by Cooper and The Smoke Thief by Abe.  Thanks.

Louise Cooper is one of my heros!  The Time Master trilogy (The Initiate, The Outcast, The Master) is stunning.  Her Indigo series is also wonderful.  But I'd recommend starting from the beginning, just so you're not cheating yourself out of the full story.

The Smoke Thief is the beginning of a good series. It is more fantasy/paranormal romance than a full fledged fantasy novel but her writing is good and fluid and the backround and history of her dragons is really lovely and detailed. I had Smoke Thief for a while but after i started it i couldn't stop. Good thing was that i had the second book (Dream Thief) already waiting and i had to go and buy the third one, Queen of Dragons. I just wanted to see how the story goes on! xD

I am reading The Smoke Thief now and so far so good.  I'm not very far but I'm enjoying it.

Finished it and I really enjoyed it. 

Read both The Smoke Thief and The Dream Thief - really enjoyed them both.  I wasn't aware that the third in the series had been released yet....Thanks Taiki!  Looks like a trip to the bookstore for me!

After reading this thread I picked up copies of all three of Louise Cooper's Time Master trilogy. I really enjoyed them. Thanks for the suggestions!
