What a fun book! I have always enjoyed Jana Deleon's books and this one did not disappoint. Had me laughing right from the start and continued thru the end. Contained mystery, enough twists and turns to keep you guessing and interesting characters. Will be delighted to pick up Book 2 when it becomes available.

I assumed that since the other Jana Deleon books I read were Mystery/Romance (which is what I like) that this one would be too. Other then a little flirting there is no romance in this book at all. I thought the first half of the book was horrible. Fortune did not seem smart enough to be a CIA agent and killing people with a shoe just sounds ridiculous. About half way in the story started getting good. There were so many twists I would have never guessed the ending.

Get ready to laugh -- a lot -- when a CIA operative has to go off the grid. Fortune is in trouble with her boss in the CIA. Her chief sends her to the Louisiana swamps to hide her from an unhappy Middle East drug dealer. Since Chief Morrow gives Fortune no choice, she learns how to be a knitting, beauty contest winner in less than 24 hours. But wait, there's more. Fortune meets Ida Belle and Gertie, a pair of geriatrics who run Sinful, Louisiana.

From the human bone Bones (the elderly dog on the premises) finds in the backyard swamp to the sheriff (Robert E. Lee) who rides up on his equally-elderly horse, there is one joke after another. I cannot remember the last time I laughed so much. Get this book and strap yourself in for a wild ride.

Good, quick-paced cozy mystery. Fortune Redding, CIA agent, has had her cover blown and now there's a price on her head. She's sent to Sinful, LA and assumes her bosses' niece's (Sandy-Sue) identity. Her "aunt" passed and she's there to decide what to do with her inheritance. She meets an eclectic group of ladies and gets pulled into dangerous situations. On her first day there a hand washes up in her back yard. Let the hijinks begin!
