Ok, not what I thought it was. It's different poetry. I thought it was about dogs.

This is an excellent book. My son got it in 3rd grade, and we read it over night. The whole house was in tears before the story ended. It is a wonderful story about a boy who learns to express himself through the art of poetry. It's a MUST read!
