In this box you put in 2 oldie but goodies
What makes an oldie? 2007 or older
What makes a goodie? Having 4 stars on either PBS or Amazon
I have read some great books otherwise unknown to me because of this box.
for instance these great books
The Butterfly House By Marcia Preston
A Cat is Watching by Roger Caras
Caucasia by Denzy Senna
The Famous DAR Murder Mystery by Graham Landrum
The Queen of Everything by Deb Caletti
Scent to Her Grave by India Ink
Mrs. Kimble : Jennifer Haigh
Tender at the Bone: Growing Up at the Table by Ruth Reichl
The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter by Sharyn McCrumb
My Point...And I Do Have One by Ellen Degeneres
The Twentieth Wife by Indu Sundaresan
Check out the game thread for my books. Our hostess is extremly organized and this is an enjoyable box. There are options to vote on other poeole's list on what books they should read next to add to the box, a Most wanted list, and BRING back that book list.
Well, I don't really get what to join, but I did have to delete some books and add some of the books you listed to my wish list.......I should say that I don't do the games. Too complicated for my attention span. I did one cookbook game and that was enough.

I did a cook book one too. Then I never use the cookbooks.
If you are ever interested in joining any games or virtual boxes the players welcome new players. We are real patient with you, becasue we were new once.
IF you join a box you put in two books you want to trade, and hopefully someone chooses your book, even if they dont you take out the books you want.
For this box you put in books older than 2007, with 4 or more stars either on PBS OR AMAZON.
Heather, I am in the audio swap, which seemed daunting way back when, so I will check this one out. When will the cruise be over? Have you read the other Ruth Reichl books? I really enjoyed that series. And ho boy, did I ever love Sharyn McCrumb's Ballad Series, of which Hangman's Daughter was one. Also, her other series, perhaps they would qualify as cozies, not sure: The McPherson mysteries. Those were a lot of fun. I have the Ballads all on my WL at audible. My favorite was The Ballad of Frankie Silver.
