This is the first Bertice Small book that I ever read. Her writing is so different than the usual romance. (She seems to know that most of us have been with more than one man-and enjoyed it.)

I have read everything she has written and make sure I get them in hard back. I love the way she writes and is able to draw you into the period she is using. Her Historical facts are increditably accurate and her discriptions let you visualize everything beautifully. I have yet to read a book by her that I didn't have a hard time putting down.
You cannot go wrong reading Bertrice Small. She's the #1 romance writer in my opinion. I've been reading her for over 20 years and adore every book she's written.
