I cannot imagine not accepting my gay son.  I don't understand how anyone could choose not to accept and support their child or other gay family member for that matter.  I have seen that most of my son's gay friends do not have that needed support, and I just find it extremely sad.  We all need love and acceptance, and we need it most of all from our family.  I am here to talk if anyone ever needs someone.  I'm just a PM away...

I know this post is a little older but I just joined in the beginning of August so I'm just finding it. I personally appreciate that sasssy. Growing up I was told I'd be disowned if I were ever gay and I always knew I was. So, I completely understand about not being accepted by family members. It's such a good thing to see others that are so accepting and loving about what's still considered such a "tough" topic. I'd like to offer the same as sasssy to anyone else though, if anyone ever needs to vent or chat or just say hi I'm here for any of you that need it.
