I've loved all three books in this series. Apparently, there are now more than 8 of them...but originally this was the last in a 3-book series. This, along with the first two, has been made into a movie and is available on DVD. Here's the back of the book: "In the heartwarming style of "Little House on the Prairie," Janette Oke takes us even further west than Marty travelled in the first story, LOVE COMES SOFTLY. In the second one, LOVE'S ENDURING PROMISE, daughter Missie and Willie LaHaye were married. Now we find them on the trail west in a covered wagon.
How did those pioneers face the hardships of the trail? The rain, the mud, the impassable river fordings--and even death. The inital elation of a new adventure soon wears thin, and Missie must learn how to live her faith as she faces homesickness, boredom, and deprivation."
Missie finds that she's to be left behind for a while as Willie travels to their new home and when she finally joins him there, she finds a big surprise.
Oh I loved this book! I liked it the most out of the three I have read so far. I missed Marty and Clark but it was fun to learn more about Missie and Willie. I learned a lot from this book also and have started to apply Isiah 41:10 to my every day life.
If you liked the first two in the series you will like this one also.
This is a beautiful continuation of this ongoing story of this family. This book touches you deep in the heart with the knowledge that we have a loving Father who will never leave us, and who has our best interests at heart.
After all the planning and dreaming,Missie and Willie LaHaye were actually on the trail west in a covered wagon.Leaving behind the prairie home of Clark and Marty Davis,Missie finds herself caught between the elation of the new adventure and wondering if she'll ever see her family again. Will her faith and strength withstand the bewildering surprise.
Travel with Missie and Willie on the trail west in a covered wagon. The initial elation of a new adventure soon wears thin, and Missie must learn how to live her faith as she faces homesickness, boredom, and deprivation. And, then, when she finally arrives at her new home. . . .

This is another great book from a great series. I am working my way through these and I can't seem to put them down! I saw the movies first and although they vary from the books they are both great. If you enjoyed Little House Books as a child you will enjoy these too.
IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THIS SERIES,YOUR DOING YOURSELF A DISSERVICE,DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER EITHER,THE STORY IS THE SAME,SOME PEOPLE WON'T ORDER CAUSE ITS NOT THE COVER THEY WANT,SO READ THIS SERIES ITS GREAT.AND I USUALLY READ THRILLERS.
