I read Loving Frank for book club and was totally blown away by the ending.  Guess I didn't do much research on the real life of Frank Lloyd Wright prior to reading the novel.

Was anyone else surprised?

After I read it, I had to go online to see if it really happened that way.  If it had been a work of pure fiction, I would have thought she practically ruined the book by writing such an unbelievable ending.

Yes -- I was surprised as well -- I didn't know anything about Wright other than that he was an architect. Of course, after I finished the book, I too went directly (without passing Go) to an online encyclopedia. I loved the book, by the way.

Yes-- I was very blown away by the ending- A real shocker that it all  really happened -

That book really affected me and I was very curious about Frank's life afterwards -

He seemed to just go on with life and to be successful-- amazing and sad to me
