After reading Bride of the Wolf I was looking forward to another historical paranormal from Susan Krinard. This one fell flat. Colt's angst and desire for revenge was just ridiculous, the secrets and intrigue forced, and I can't figure out why Colt and Aria even liked each other. They hardly ever talked. And I never really felt I understood why Colt was the way he was. Add to that a story line that was long and glossed over and you have a mid range book. Not horrible, but not Krinard's best effort.

Good book! Loved the characters. Nice story, with twists and turns. It had me rooting for Cort and Aria.
