Are these books okay to read out of order?

I guess what I'm asking is does each of the books have a ending or do I need to read them in order because of cliffhangers and continuations? I would never consider reading a series out of order but I have been told these are okay to do so.

Well I'm an order reader myself. I have read most of these (fun series, btw) and did read them in order. I wouldn't say there are cliffhangers or continuations but there are references to other characters.  I wouldn't read them out of order but then some say I'm a bit anal about my order reading. :)  Hope this helps!

I'm with Collette.  A bit anal about reading in order.  As she said there are no cliffhangers but there are the references to other characters.  I actually started the series with book #3 without realizing it was.  Then there was a reference to a wedding and I was a bit upset to realize I was reading the series out of order.

They are almost stand alones though it's basically about one vampire family.

Thanks for the help! Considering that I am pretty anal about reading in order....I think I will try to do the same with these as well!
