Due to the turn the conversation in this thread has taken, I was forced to bother the Team with what we're dealing with and get their take on the matter. The whole point of this thread is to send multiples. Most of us know that and are happy to oblige with that. However, we cannot stop members from PMing each other and going around the rules if they so choose....if a member wants to disregard the rules, they will find a way to do so. That is why they replied back to Leann that it was okay to PM someone about only sending one book. They agreed that the concept is to send multiples, but they also acknowledge that they (or I) can't stop members from PMing behind the scenes and doing what they want to do. However, it needs to be VERY clear that no one who posts in this thread is obliged to send that one book to the member only asking for one book. They can if they wish, but they are not obliged to since they asked for orders in multiples. So while we cannot ban you from asking to be allowed to order one book from a member, it is highly discouraged due to the basic nature and purpose of this thread. And to those of you who are the senders in these situations: it is completely within your right to turn down a request for one book when it is generated from this thread. I will update the guidelines on page one for April's thread to reflect this idea and to explain that it's not necessarily "against the rules" to ask for only one book, but it certainly does seem to be bad form. And also keep in mind that if a person continually asks for only one book, and doesn't comply with the concept of this thread in most cases, it might cause other members to not want to deal with that member future transactions coming from this thread. PLEASE...if anyone has further questions about this thread, PM me. If it is necessary to get the Team involved I will do so. They have better things to do with their time than to mediate disagreements in these threads. |

These rules were discussed extensively and all of them approved by the site owners before they were implemented, not just by one member, so that this thread would be fair to everyone who participates.. If anyone doesn't agree with the rules set forth in this thread, they are always free not to participate. |

Sherry your post wasn't all smooshed to the right like that before, maybe its my switching of computers/op systems, but if it is messed up formatting, highlighting the whole post and clicking on the little blue eraser (Remove Format) in your text box icons usually gets rid of that problem. It will remove some of the fun formatting, but it will remove the problems. |
