Can I convert files on a disk that are "compressed and zipped" into pdf format.  One or two at a time is fine, if the process is possible.

Argh, I had my response well written and explanatory and then my laptop wiped it all out. crying

Yes, this is possible. You would need to extract the files (either on disc or bring them onto your computer). Once you have them extracted, you will need to use a conversion software (I prefer Calibre, but I know there are many others out there). Load the books into conversion software and there is a dropbox that you can choose what you want them converted to (epub, pdf, mobi, lit, etc). Once the conversion is complete you can save the files on your computer, or whereever you prefer them to be.

Hope this made sense. It was written so much clearer the first time. lol.

You gave me the info that I needed (that it can be done).  Instructions as to how, I'll need to follow when I have the disk with the files on it.  It is supposed to house 4gb's worth of epub books.

Thanks so much for the point in the right direction.  I'm starting to learn as I go with my Nook.
