I don't think I will watch them because there is no way they'll make them as good as the books nor do I want my imagination ruined on how I envisioned the characters.

Wait did you guys read the article?

When did Fever series become a teen series?

Here is what the article said:

"According to Variety DreamWorks has acquired feature film rights to all five books in Karen Marie Moning’s bestselling Fever series. Teen fantasy movies are hot property at the moment with Harry Potter ending, Twilight on the verge, and The Hunger Games just getting started. It’s understandable why DreamWork would want a franchise of their own."

The part I'm questioning is the Teen Fantasy Movies cause if they make the fever series into a teen fantasy movie I will so not be watching as they are one of my favorite series and they are in no way a teen series.  They are too hot to be made a teen series I'd be disapointed if they had to tone them down for teen veiwing.  I'm curious if they got it wrong about the teen thing or if they are going to tone it down for the movies any one know

Oh i didnt actually read it because i have no interest in watching them, being afraid to mess up my own visions of how things went. If that is the way its going to go then thats rediculous!

Yeap, I read the part about "teen".  There's even a comment at the bottom about making it into a teen version.

Making it into a teen version would lessen the whole impact of the books!

If there is a dollar to be made, I'm pretty sure some studio exec won't care about the actual story and make it as stupid as the Twilight movie.   Sorry, I won't be watching it.   No, no no.   LOVE that series and I like who and what I've envisioned w/ the help of KMM.   I am wondering how to keep from finding out who gets cast because that will ruin it for me too:lol:

I'm weird but I'll admit that I have the final book and haven't cracked it open yet because then it will be over:lol:    I'm planning on a nice rainy and cool fall day when I'm off work to devote to the final book.   I may lead up to it with reading the series back to back start to finish.

Let's think about it though...What actor would be perfect for Jericho Barrons?

Teen Movie....no way without bastardizing the books.

Hell just one problematic issue; how do you clean up how V'lane affects Mac.  Might be kinda of hard to do that and keep true to the book and still get a PG-13 rating.

Trying not to give away spoilers for those that haven't read the books so trying to phrase this right.

How do you deal with the ending of book three and the beginning of book 4 as a teen movie?  To lessen it in any way or remove it entirely would be ridiculous!

You cant. Not and do it well, anyway.

Maybe it's going to be like Harry Potter where they keep getting more grown up...only this would be really different.

LMAO!!  Josie -  I am going to be thinking about that quote from you all day, and cracking up for no apparent reason. My 14 year old daughter already thinks I am an embarrassment!

There is no possible way to make this pg 13 it would be a very R rated movie that’s the only way I see it working. Though after spending the last 30 minutes racking my brain for an actor who could play JZB I just can't think of any. I'm dead set on it being a no named actor someone with and ethnic background maybe with an accent. He'd have to be a taller larger man who is very muscular, with dark hair but I'd like to see blue eyes (did she ever describe his eyes in the books). I just never put a real face on JZB he's still what I molded him to be in my mind so I can't see anyone actually playing him. I'm also not fond of the girls they have been picking for Mac please no kristen bell.

I've decided to give the first one a try but if they lame it up like twilight I'm out. I was so disappointed in twilight!  I like some books to movies though but only when they don’t change a whole lot cause I will just nitpick everything they change and it ruins it for me.

If they are going to do this, I would like Joss Whedon to direct an adult version of this series.
