This book covers a lot of areas including couching and trapunto as well as quilting, but it does assume some knowledge not every beginner will have. For example when teaching stipple it never specifically says that you don't ever turn the fabric, you just move it around under the needle to produce the pattern you want. (Maybe that's obvious to most of us, but not to everyone!) Overall it's a very good little book, though. Doing the exercises should get anyone going comfortably.
