Lyman recounts his thoughtful progression from conventional Montana cattlement to vegetarian activist and organics advocate. With humor and solid information he gives us good reasons to consider our food choices, in particular by reviewing the development of Mad Cow disease (BSE) worldwide - and British and US authorities' unethical attempts to hide the crisis from the public. Read this book to understand how the USDA/Forest Service and FDA are NOT looking out for your best interests when it comes to food safety.

After reading this book, I have now made the switch to vegetarianism. This book was very eye-opening and quite disturbing regarding the way cattle are being raised in the US.
This should be a must read for EVERYONE!
