I was blown away by this book! Mad Kestrel is wonderfully written, with colorful, interesting characters. The book was fast-paced, filled with intrigue and magic. Mix it all up with some terrific sword fights and lots of pirate action, and you've got a winner on your hands! I really hope she writes a sequel to this, I'd love to see what adventures Kestrel gets involved with next!
