The Maestro is an excellent read, especially for musicians. As a guitarist, I absolutely loved the spot-on 'guitar stuff' and identified with the joy of "Good Music" described. The story is an interesting, winding tale of a musician's journey from home, through hardship, to fame, and toward faith.

I have re-read this book many times, and it just gets better! :)

I especially enjoyed this book because it gave me a better understanding of the challenges facing musicians. In addition, the search for the peace that his grandmother knew and the struggle to trust a God who allowed his mnother to die is woven into the story.

A man has a magnificent musical talent but the pain of his past keeps him in darkness and emptiness. He becomes a world renowned and versatile guitarist, but his life is still empty. How can he trust a God who let his mother die?
