I requested a book the 21st of December.  It was accepted and printed the 24th, but it is still not showing as mailed, nor is it showing a "mail by" date.... just wondering if this could indicate a problem, or if the "mail later" dates are never given to requestors anyway....

It depends on when the sender said they could mail the book.  I BELIEVE it gives them five days, plus two extra if they don't mail by their original Mail by date.  I would give it a couple of days and see what happens.  If they don't mail by their intended mail by date or the extra days, the system will automatically cancel it and they will lose out on their credit.

Patricia, I believe this means they checked the "I can mail in two days" option.

So will it still give the sender 7 days even if they clicked the "I can mail in 2 days" button??  I'm not in a big hurry for this book, thankfully, just wondering how this works in case it comes up later with a book I *am* looking for a little faster!  :)

Yep!  Someone ordered a book from me on Monday, the 24th.  I hit the "I can mail in two days" button on accident and had a minor panic attack because I couldn't mail the books until Thursday, the 27th.  However, when I looked at that book on my account page, it said I actually had until Friday, the 28th to mark it mailed before I would permanently lose the credit.  So, these "oopsies" happen - give the sender a break.
