Well, I requested books awhile back, and the suggested date for them to arrive is the 16th of July.  Well, I know she mailed them, because she used DC and they made it as far as Philly and haven't gotten any closer to me.  Do I wait until the 16th when it says they should have arrived, or do I wait until the deadline on the 17th at 12AM to mark them not recieved?  I'm guessing they have been lost in the mail.  I don't want to mark them not recieved too late and then get jipped out of my credit.

Mark them not recieved on the 16th, or the 17th by 12AM?

Thanks,

Jenni

Jenni, you don't mark the books not received. PBS will mark then lost on the date of system action and refund your credits. If after they go lost you do receive the books, just go into your transaction archive and mark them received from there.

Thanks Leslie :)  This is the first time it's happened, so I wasn't sure.  Thank you very much for telling me this before I went and did something silly..lol.

This happened to me with the last book I recieved. The person used DC and the book made it from Florida to  Jersey in a few days. (I'm in NY) I figured the book would be there within the week but it didn't come. I waited and waited and waited. Finally the book came 2 days before it would have been marked lost.  Your book might still turn up.

Since the book had DC, and you know both the number and where it appears to have stalled, once the book is 30 days past the mailing date you can file a lost mail claim and maybe the post office can locate it...

I'm  hoping it does!  She gave me a 2 for 1 deal, and it was 2 books in a series that I would like to read.  I would be 2 books closer to having the whole series so I can read it all in one swoop.  I'm hoping it comes :(
