I mailed 6 books to an APO I was told it could take up to 55 days to get where it was going. I just recieved all the e-mails telling me they were lost in the mail. I sent them with tracking so I already have my credits, but what about the person who ordered them will they get their credits back?????? If so is that taking away from PBS?????? |

Yes, the person who ordered them gets their credits back. This is what always happens when books go lost in the system. They are not getting them from PBS ... they are getting their own credits back, that PBS was holding in escrow. You are the one taking something from PBS ... because you are getting credits from PBS, even though the books went lost. You paid for this priviledge by purchasing DC and/or postage. The money for that has reimbursed PBS for the credits you are keeping. It can take longer for books to go to APO addresses. It is likely that they will arrive eventually, even though they are late. I think those members are used to the procedures for marking books from the Transaction Archive. Last Edited on: 2/1/10 7:18 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Are you saying that PBS said they were lost? If so, they could still get there - they just take longer. Mailing to Alaska and Hawaii can go lost before they actually get there. Ruth |

Yes, it can take a while to get here. Especially during the holidays and when the mail is put on ship instead of a plane (this happened a couple of years ago and it took months to get straightened out.). Most get here (APO AE--england) within the time frame but if it says lost i usually click received as soon as they get here. |
