I was thinking of a mailing a DVD on Sunday (even though there is no collection at the blue collection box on Sunday

but i was wondering if that could damage the DVD due to heat , since it would sit there for a good 12 to 24 hours waiting until the collection

has that happen to anyone?

I'm no expert, but I thought one of the advantages of DVD/CD format was unlikely to be damaged by heat (unlike cassett tapes in the car).  Regardless, given the time of year and generally cool temps nationwide, I doubt you have much to worry about.

I've sent a considerable number of DVDs through this method and as far as I know none of them have ever sustained any damage either from heat, or any other factors.

Netflix and Blockbuster have lots of DVDs that sit out in mailboxes over the weekends - doesn't seem to be a problem for the DVD format
