I have a metered postal scale in my office that I use for mail. Do I still have to take it to the post office if it's over 13oz?

I just went to the post office and waited in a loooong line with my stamped mail and physically handed it to them. Am I taking too many steps? Can I just drop it in the Blue Box?

Also, when using the PBS delivery confirmation with your own postage do you then have to pay an extra 20 cents at the post office? Can I just add 20 cents to my postage to avoid going to the post office? Should the 20 cents be printed on a seperate postage sticker so it shows the extra fee for DC?

Sorry this is long indecision

Is there a system glitch S.Y.?

In reply, metered mail can be blue boxed.  The 13 oz rule does not apply b/c it is considered 'tracable' postage.  When mailing package over 13 oz. with stamps, I avoid the line...stand off to the side until you catch the eye of a clerk, hold up your package with postage visable, wait until they waive you over, and hand them your package.  If you want to them to check postage amount, yes you will need to wait in line.

Yes, you must add the PO portion of electronic dc to the postage amount.  It does not need to be separate, just add it to postage amount.  When I buy postage at the counter (with PBS DC) my receipt shows the dc cost as a separate line item but the postage is all on one sticker.

I tried to do a member post search for any topics started by nickname senthilboopathi and there are no results.  I also did a text search for Boopathi and the only result found was S.Y.'s response.  Must be a system glitch.

That's weird.  Boopathi just joined.  If you go to their profile (which they took the time to set up) and click on the forum post count it brings up nothing.

Another strange thing, under this person's "about me" it's the exact same thing as another non-related member.

I bet you a dollar that Boopathi is a bot. I run a message board and get bots that join and copy and paste a previous post. I'm not sure what scam they are running because they don't usually put links in it, but they may be attempting to private message spam to other users. I always delete them from my site as soon as they join, I'm pretty good at spotting a bot registration.

Boopathi's account is currently suspended or closed.  Looks like Becca was right.
