I am a teacher and every year my colleagues throw out tons of these. I always try to rescue some for myself and my students, but now will rescue even more. Right in front of my nose.

I have a frugality blog: frugalscholar.blogspot.com

I think I may mention this great idea.

I've heard that some people buy shower curtains at the dollar store and cut them up to use as wrapping. I guess you get a waterproof package that way.

I found a new package of shipping bags from a recently out of business national shipper in the trash. They make great mailers!

I've used the waterproof bags JCPennys and some other places ship orders in........depending on the size you may be able to use for more than one book............
