E.D. Martel is a high-profile District Attorney, who is served with divorce papers, and a restraining order from her husband, preventing her from coming home and seeing her children, all while still in court. Her husband packed her bags, and had them delivered very publicly to her office. She is stunned, and humiliated. Especially as her husband is the one at fault, and has coldly maneuvered her into a defensive position in order to jeopardize her career and standing with the press. But, a long-time friend, the one she didn't dare dream of, comes to her rescue.
