In The Man Who Stole the Mona Lisa, Martin Page has written a interesting thriller about the theft of the Mona Lisa from the Louvre in Paris, 1911. The story begins in the private railroad car of J.P Morgan who hires Adam Worth, the 20th century's most accomplished thief to steal the Mona Lisa. Worth's plan begins with him staging his death in London, going to the jungles of the Amazon, and finally to Paris. He has to outwit the French authorities, international art experts, Pinkerton detectives and J.P Morgan himself.
This book was a fun quick read.
