I don't know if anyone on here colors Mandalas  - (coloring for meditation, anxiety, relaxation, stress reliever & etc).  I personally use them to relieve anxiety & stress.

If you happen to come across any of these books, uncolored - then please post them - there are many that are  WLed here!!!  If you are curious or like me - suffer with anxiety & stress probs, then give them a try.

I just wanted to bring these to everyone's attention and to let you know that there is definitely an interest in them here at PBS - you are all more than welcome to check out my WL (search "Mandala") to see what I am talking about & are wanted.

So, please if you do come across any Mandala coloring books that are uncolored, please post them, they will be snatched up - if any you post any and they aren't on WL, then please post them here - you'll definitely find takers - myself for one!!  ;o)

And I do highly recommend them if you struggle with anxiety, stress or need to relax or  you do still enjoy coloring.  I use markers, but any form can be used - colored pencils, crayons and etc.

Coloring books are not postable into the PBS system. They just show up because the database comes in from other sources.

Last week I posted Mystical Mandalas(Dover Books), because I rec'd a book with cd of the same pics - and it's on it's way to the new owner.

I think that this is different because these color books are for adults, and I did state uncolored.

I was basically wanting to make people aware that they would definitely be welcomed by various PBS members and to let people know a little about Mandalas.

I also have a couple of other Mandala (Celtic) books that are put out thru Dover.  I hope that it's not going to cause a problem, since they aren't children's color books, but geared more for adults - generally used in other countries for years as an aid for meditation.

Very cool.  I did happen to find a Totem Pole "color & cut out book" and a Color Your Own Renoir Painting (Dover Book).  I picked them up because I thought they were interesting.  The Renoir is actually WLed but I did find that one page was colored so I'll just keep it my bag of teacher tricks for now.

I have to admit, this thread sparked my interest too. I went to go see if any were actually available for ordering (sadly, no) but I put one on my RL b/c my WL is maxed out. I have a number of things to bump into my WL if space ever becomes available but I'm keeping an eye on those coloring books. I have my doubts - why are these books soooooooooo special for the health compared to like, coloring pictures of Hello Kitty (which I love to do!). You could get a huge coloring book in the dollar store. I'm a born skeptic but the words on the web site seem to speak to themselves. I'm doubtful too many people far down on the WL will ever have their wishes granted, but it was interesting to learn about something new all the same.

Yvonne,

I'm going to be going to my local Borders, within the next couple days.  For my birthday, I rec'd a gift card from my daughter and a 25% off birthday coupon via email from Borders!!  So I definitely have to look.   Thank you for letting us know.

Hi,

There are sites online which have printable pages of mandalas and some also teach you how to make your own.  These are so very  helpful.

Hi Dawna,

It's true that there are many sites online that offer free coloring pages - I've gone thru a lot of ink and card stock (because I prefer markers) printing them out.

I'm just hungry for more of them, I don't personally color in the books, but copy pages, so I can reprint ones I really enjoy coloring.  And if a time comes and I no longer want any of them, then I can post them here for other members to enjoy.

I've also colored numerous pages from Earth Art International - they are far more different than your typical mandala - because they are animal pics with a lot of little pics in them to color as well.
