From the back cover of the book:

OBJECTIVE:
Find a Rich, Handsome and Successful Man

Kate Svenson may be a dynamite businesswoman - but after three failed engagements, she's decided she's hopeless at romance. What she needs is a Business Plan to help her find Mr. Right.

The Cabins resort is ripe with eligible bachelors, all rich and ambitious - just her type. But they're dropping like flies, and after fishing Kate's latest reject out of the swimming pool, Jake Templeton is convinced that Kate is nothing but trouble. Especially for him.

A man who's sworn off ambition and a woman hanging from the top of the corporate ladder don't have much in common. But in that unpredictable territory known as the heart, anything can happen...

This book said it was Jennifer Crusie's first published book. What way to start!! I have read a couple of other books by her and this one didn't disappoint either. Very funny! I laughed out loud in parts. Very good book. Nice summer read.

A light predictable read but enjoyable nonetheless. Sometimes I like to read something that I don't have to give a lot of thought to and I want to read a book that just makes me feel good, Manhunting filled that need. We should all have a Jake in our lives at least once! LOL.

I hesitated to read this book because it was pink. Not just pink, but PINK! That, and the fact that the lead woman was an executive with her hair in a tight bun and who shows up to the Cabins in a silk suit just turns me off. But, she wasn't like Nora Roberts' executive characters' cold, but just had a slight air of superiority.
I loved how Kate and Jack were surprised by their feelings for one another; I loved how everyone else knew before them. My only real issue with her was that she wanted him to be more ambitious, and I don't like when people try to change others, especially potential mates.
I'll definitely pick up another Jennifer Crusie book in the future; this was cute and fun (especially with her other dates' disasters!)

edited to add: well, apparently I already have 4 of her books on my To Be Read list so I'm good to go!

Crusie's debut novel showed the sassy attitude, snappy dialogue, and sheer exuberance of her later chick-lit work. Her uptight career girl who goes trolling for the "perfect man" at a Kentucky golf resort doesn't end up the way she thought it would … or does it?
