New Month time for a new reading topic.

I started a great new YA yesterday  Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin, Bk 1) :: Robin LaFevers. It has been sitting in my bookcase for a while. I absolutely love it. Great characters and story line and love tying the history of 1480s France into the story.  Wish I had read it soon. Has anyone else read it. Book 2 is coming out in April I put it on my WL.

No one else reading YA right now?

Loved Grave Mercy finished it last night can't wait for book two.

So I started  Rift (Nightshade, Prequel) :: Andrea Cremer. If I did not know that it was connected to the Nightshade series I would never guess it. I am about half way through. Truthfully I l ike it better than the orginial two Nightshade books, curious how it all connects in.

I enjoyed Rift quite a bit too Alice. It just touches on things from the nightshade books. I am looking forward to reading the next one to see what happens next. I just saw she is publishing a fourth book to the nightshade series too. I just finished reading Stealing Parker, which was ok. Today I read Such a Rush which I enjoyed.

I finished Nantucket Blue.  I usually have a hard time with YA contemporary books because I find the characters too immature but I liked this one.  Cricket had a good head on her shoulders.  Now reading Poison by Bridget Zinn.

I'm just glad I will be through with this ridiculously difficult Church History class I am taking this Friday....  there is so much reading involved in it that I have barely had time for any recreational reading!!!

I finished Fear by Michael Grant this weekend.  It was good.  I'm ready for the last book in the series to come out next month to see how it all ends.

i've been working through Ask the Passengers by AS King.  I hated "Please Ignore Vera" but this one isn't too bad.

So for the time of day category, I picked up one of my favorite series Taken at Dusk (Shadow Falls, Bk 3) :: C. C. Hunter. This series is YA but lots of depth to it. Interesting and varied paranormal characters, family strife, romance and friendship. If you are looking for a new series this is a good one to start.

Alice, I've loved the Shadow Falls series.  I have the 4th book in the series, but still haven't read it.  College has been too hectic for me to really read anything now.  Hopefully, I can read one book during break.

I finished Poison and enjoyed it.  Went to Goodreads to see what else the author wrote and saw that she passed away 2 years ago.  So sad!

Just starting In the Shadow of Blackbirds by Cat Winters. I hope it's good!

I loved Everafter as well, Val and I think The Hunt has the best cliffhanger ever. It killed me waiting for The Prey. :)

Sabrina, I sooo didn't see how the Hunt was going to end!  I started listening to Between the Lines by Tammara Webber today (totally drawn in already!) so I have to wait to start The Prey after this one.  Supposedly the cliffhanger and Ashley June questions are answered in the 2nd one but it too has a cliffhanger..

As for Everafter, I only chose it for the YA Reading Challenge thinking it was the least boring of the choices....but I really wanted to see how it played out and again, did not see the ending coming until Gabe came into the picture...
